Marauders Era
Quote Of The Week
"... for now, he is her Dante, she his Beatrice. Think Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde...Tom and bloody Jerry. She'll grow out of it and her diary will be filled with regrets. That's the tragedy behind cupid's twanging, girls.”

[ ]The Sorting Ceremony (1 sub-board)
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,

You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,

Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.

The Seventh Floor
[ ]Room of Requirement
Of all rooms in Hogwarts, this might be one of the strangest. A room that adapts to the wishes of the one who is wanting to use it, how strange is that? To enter, walk past the tapestry three times, thinking of whatever you need the room to be.

[ ]Mythology Classroom
Tales about gods, godesses, mighty warriors and beautiful princesses. That's mainly what you'll learn in this class, because in the wizarding world Latin and Ancient Greek are often used languages, it might be nice to know a bit about the tales these people told. Other mythologies include the Celtic mythology.

The Fourth Floor
[ ]The Library
Books, as far as the eye reaches, seas of books, mountains of books, books everywhere. A downright paradise for all book lovers. The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts.

[ ]Prefects' Bathroom
Pine Fresh, only the school prefects are allowed in here. Inside, the bathroom's walls, floor, and single sunken bathtub are all made of white marble, lit softly by a candle-filled chandelier. The rectangular tub is the size and depth of a swimming pool, and even has a diving board, but unlike an ordinary pool the tub is lined with about a hundred taps, each with a differently coloured jewel set into the handle. Each tap automatically releases not only water, but bubble bath (a different kind of bubble bath for each colour-coded handle). A pile of fluffy white towels are kept in one corner.

[ ]The Entrance Hall (2 sub-boards)
You enter through double oak front doors into a large, cavernous room, lit by torches, with ceiling so high it's barely visible. A wide marble staircase opposite the front doors leads up to first floor. Double doors to the right lead into the Great Hall. On either side of the staircase, there are two doors. To the north of the staircase is a door leading down a flight of steps to the first dungeon level. To the south is a door leading to the Hufflepuff common room and the kitchens. On the left is a door leading to a smaller antechamber where First Years wait to be sorted.

[ ]The Kitchens
The Hogwarts kitchens are located directly below the Great Hall and are just the same size. They have high ceilings and a great brick fireplace at one end. Mounds of brass pots and pans are heaped around the walls. There are preparation tables directly below the four house tables in the Hall above, and when the time comes for the food to be served, it is magically transported through the ceiling of the kitchen onto the plates. The kitchens are staffed by over a hundred house-elves. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of a bowl of fruit. Tickle the pear and it giggles and becomes a door handle.

[ ]Honeydukes Sweetshop
A sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable". In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends.

Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.

[ ]Secret Passageways to Hogwarts
Hogsmeade and Hogwarts have a shared history, as well. There are at least eight secret passages that run between the school and Hogsmeade, all but two of which were built for reasons unknown. It's possible that some were used during major historical events, such as the 1612 goblin rebellion that centered in Hogsmeade

The network is accessed through fireplaces. The traveller takes a handful of floo powder and throws it into the fireplace, turning the flames to a shade of green. He or she walks into the fireplace, then clearly and loudly states the desired destination. The sensation of travelling via Floo powder is described as rapid spinning; other wizarding fireplaces can be glimpsed as they are passed during the trip. The witch or wizard then appears in the destination fireplace.
